Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
